Moving

13 min read
Literally and on the nets. Moving back across the country to VA.

This will be the second cross country move for the kitties. We are worried about their fuzzy sanity. They freak out a bit on car trips. Teriyaki has wet himself from the stress. Usually we put them in the back of the truck with a pile of blankets and a litter box. This time the back will be full of stuff we don't want them to spoil. (clothes and sleeping bags and pillows)

Last time we went out to PETCO to get name tags for em I read the boxes of all the stuff they had for calming cats. A lot of herbal stuff and a few legitimate sounding ones with ingredients like tryptophan and lavender. I don't want to shell out $20 for something that they'll either spit up, won't work, or might make em sick. So, I called the vet this afternoon to request kitty sized sedatives. She was advised that they may worsen their stress, but offered to let us try a few pills over the weekend.

Heheheh we have drugged kitties! They are all loopy and slow. It's a bit funny. We took advantage of it and brushed Teriyaki's teeth. (his breath smells like bad fish) I was watching some clips on Youtube of the Cirque du Soleil show in Japan, "ZED." Squeaky likes to sit on my lap and bat at the stuff on my desk and paw at the keyboard and the screen sometimes. She came in, jumped up, and was watching the screen. Her ears went back at the music and she turned her head all sideways at the video. She kinda swayed back and forth, then slipped on my lap and almost fell off the chair. It was great! Poor girl. I hope she's not tripping to hard. Other wise, they seem OK. I'm watching their temperature. They ate dinner fine. I think I'll ask for a full week's scrip on Monday.

Moving on the nets too? Yep, a personality split here on DA. Those of you watching this account and interested in following my exploits can send me a note and I'll link ya.
I've already removed all those images from this account. I will re-posting the better of them over there. I've already put up quite a few new images in the gallery. Sorry for the inconvenience, and hope to see ya at the new place.

Oh yeah it's CATurday! I love the soft-sweet smell of cat. To me it's one of life's simplest pleasures: the company of a kitty. Here are some of my favorite fuzzy loves on DA:

Top 5 - late

7 min read
So... about a month ago mystery-of-sorrow did his "Top Five For 2007"

These were his rules (shortened a little:
RULE 1: first rule of top five, don't talk about top five.

RULE 2: the women (men) on the list should be completely unattainable by you.

RULE 3: the women (men) on the list should be significant in popular culture to the point that most people will know who you are speaking of and can identify with.

RULE 4: the women (men) on the list should actually be alive and breathing.

RULE 5: this ISN"T just a hote babe list. the women your top 5 list should do something for you other than just stand there being 'hot'. they should perhaps like things you like, participate in sports you enjoy, write books you like. this might require a bit more thought than just another who's hot list.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Counting down in order, is my TOP FIVE  I couldn't decide on gender specific tops. (pun totally intended..)

5) Simone Simons - Singer for Epica. Since Tarja Turunen has been ousted from Nightwish... In September when I learned about that I went in search of a new opera-singing, metal-fronting, babe.

4) Johnny Depp - I recently saw "Arizona Dream" it rekindled my admiration for Mr. Depp's choice of films to be a part of. I think he has one of the most eclectic collection of roles under his acting belt.

3) Milla Jovovich - I blame "5th Element" and Luc Besson here. It's probably my favorite movie of all time, just cause.

2) Claudia Black - From Farscape, and more recently the last two seasons of SG1. To me she is the best Sci-fi babe because she's got attitude, and character. Too bad she was the first to die in "Pitch Black."

1) Christian Bale - He's Batman and a ninja. I mean Batman is a ninja of course. I will always see him as Jim Hawkins from "Treasure Island."

West Coast trip

3 min read
Took a bit of a road trip recently. Saw some cool sights. Met some cool people. Ate some tasty and nutritious food. Had jello shots with a Canadian. Beach bonfires are still new to me, but fun. (we don't really feel the need to burn things on the beach back east, see the water is warm, as is the wind.)

Ok photos!

Then we did a lot of driving. (me too!) And got to Oregon. Stopped to look at the Columbia River and mountains and such.

And the first cool place we stayed was his aunt's house. cool place 1 by bluenozdkitty

Then .. more later..

It was nice to get away from this back home in MT though: Ick in MT by bluenozdkitty

And I got my first taste of a "real" ocean sunset, and figured out that long exposure clouds thing (I really, really need a tripod for these though. I only got one frame that came out this well as my "mono-pod" was a small log on it's end with big rocks propping it up.")
